7 Reasons To Go Abroad

Hello! I’m Amelia, and I will be studying abroad at Wellesley College next semester! Today, I want to share the 7 reasons I chose to go abroad and why you should, too!

Studying abroad offers the opportunity to explore natural wonders, museums, landmarks, experiences, and so much more! Along the way, you are guaranteed to meet a multitude of amazing people, too!

Whether it is an incredible guest lecturer, new course options, new learning styles, classroom culture or amazing internships, research or fieldwork at our top institutional partners, you are guaranteed to expand your CV, your skills and your academic prowess.

Whether you are an American political journalist like myself, a historian fascinated by indigenous culture in Australia or a film student who wants to be in Hollywood, studying abroad adds to your CV, dissertation, and opportunities like internships and research.

Discovering a new city, country, or region can prove invaluable to YOUR future! Do you suit those frigid climates in the Northeast USA? Or do you prefer the beaches of the Gold Coast? These preferences can set you up for life, including in choosing post-graduate studies and jobs!

As an international student, I feel equipped to do so many new things simply with the confidence that I can! From learning how to do annoying paperwork for embassies to buying bedding — essential milestones in any young person’s life which equip you for the future!

New community, customs, food — even a new language! All of these new things create a new you, and you will become a more well-rounded person!

If you are a bloke faffing around in uni, pop abroad and give college a go!

With non-flying options for Europe, incredible public transport at our partners and the opportunity to explore some of the world’s greatest environmental wonders. Going abroad is a way to support the environment – because if you appreciate beauty, you will invest in its future!

What are you waiting for?
