Johor Bahru – Singaporeans’ Favourite Getaway

    October 16, 2024 /

By Thatthep Sae-Lim. Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Back in early September, I got the chance to be back in Singapore again. The main reason for my visit was to attend a concert with my friends. However, this blog will not be about the concert or Singapore itself, but about my first time to Johor Bahru.

    Japan…. once again!

    September 26, 2024 /

By Thatthep Sae-Lim. Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Every time I go to Japan, I always find myself thinking of going back again. I’ve never acted on this impulsivity of just booking another Japan trip right after one another, but I did it this time around. To me, Japan is a country I can visit a million times and still never get bored of. Unlike my previous Japan trip, it was late spring and not winter. So, the weather was just nice to walk around.

    Favourite places in Singapore

    September 19, 2024 /

By Thatthep Sae-Lim. Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Being back in Singapore again for this exchange year brought back so many memories of when I lived there throughout secondary school. I was able to go to many of my favourite places with my best friends again during my exchange and I will be sharing them in this blog. As someone who had lived accumulatively six years in Singapore, I found myself visiting Marina Bay and Sentosa a lot. If you ever googled where to go in Singapore, these two places are definitely on the list.

NTU exchange – 10 months recap

    September 9, 2024 /

By Thatthep Sae-Lim. Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. I’ve been trying to find the best way to reflect and recap my experiences doing an exchange at NTU for the longest time and I think theres no better way to put a closure to my exchange by looking back at the most interesting or memorable things that happened month by month.

Koh Samui – My most favourite place on earth

    September 5, 2024 /

By Thatthep Sae-Lim. Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. As a Thai person, who has been living most of my life abroad, I didn’t really have many opportunities to travel around Thailand. Back when covid was still a thing, I was stuck in Thailand for 3 years and it has given me the chance to explore this beautiful country. I first visited Koh Samui in December 2020 and have always wanted to go back ever since. Thanks to this study abroad year for bringing me closer to home and allowing me to visit Koh Samui again, in December last year. Based on my experiences being in Koh Samui twice, I can truly…

What to expect – NTU exchange

    September 3, 2024 /

By Thatthep Sae-Lim. Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Now that my exchange had ended for a few months, I finally have the time to sit and reflect on my experiences at NTU. Although this was not my first time living in Singapore, I have definitely learnt a lot from this experience, simply because of the significant differences of how things are at NTU compared to UOM.

    Winter in Japan

    August 25, 2024 /

By Thatthep Sae-Lim, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Since I was doing my exchange in Singapore, it’s given me the opportunity to frequently travel with my mom, who live in Thailand. Since I’ve always been obsessed with Japan and I was really longing to spend some times in a cold climate after living in Singapore for awhile, we decided to go to Japan for two weeks in January.

Amazing trip to Bali. Can’t wait to go back!! <3 - GA Alicia who's currently on exchange at HKUST #uomgoabroad #globalambassador "Here's the pictures from my most recent post on an average night in Canada. They show the northern lights which were usually visible from my school!" - GA Aleks 🇨🇦 #uomgoabroad #globalambassador Photos from GA Aleks' trip to Regina #uomgoabroad #globalambassador I visited Katsuoji Temple, known as the "Temple of Victory", in Minoh, Osaka for a field trip. There are thousands of Daruma dolls here left by visitors that represent perseverance and discipline against all odds. Would recommend for a day trip from Osaka city centre! - GA Gloria 🇯🇵 #uomgoabroad #globalambassador If you’re planning to visit the Go Abroad desk in the Atrium during exam season, please note we’ll be open Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 10am–4pm ⏰ During my exchange, I was lucky enough to be involved in Netball USA. Being involved in the US Netball Open in Texas and meeting lots of American and other international netballers! - GA Amy 🏀🇺🇸 #globalambassador #uom_goabroad Best part of living in New Jersey is the access to trains/buses into New York City. NYC is amazing all year round from the Rockefeller tree at Christmas to summer evenings on the Brooklyn Piers.
